هانشی نگینی یکی از شاگردان سوسای اویاما در حدود 35 سال قبل برای اولین بار کلمه بودو را از این استاد فقید کاراته شنیدند.
هدف سوسای اویاما از کلمه بودو برای کاراته، این بود که بودو جزیی از کاراته و سبک کیوکوشین میباشد و از هم جدا نیستند.
هانشی نگینی با تجربیاتی که در هنبو مرکزی سوسای اویاما و تلاش های بی وقفه ایشان در طول عمر ورزشی خود در ورزش هنرهای رزمی و کاراته به دست آوردند،سبک بودوکیوکوشین کاراته را در جهان ابداع کردند.
روش تکنیک و مبارزه در سبک بودو کیوکوشین کاراته روی مبارزه و مسابقات در فاصله نزدیک و بدون عقب‌نشینی به همراه ساباکی میباشد. در بودو کیوکوشین برای کاستن مقاومت حریف از اصابت ضربات بطور متوالی و با حداکثر سرعت و قدرت استفاده میشود.این سبک تاکید زیادی روی تمرینات تنفسی و استقامتی دارد.از این رو هنرجوی بودوکیوکوشین پس از سال‌ها تمرینات مکرر دارای اندامی ورزیده و روحیه ای آسیب‌ناپذیر می‌گردد. در سبک بودو کیوکوشین تکیه اصلی بر حفظ سلامتی هم زمان جسم و روح است؛ در مبارزات بودو کیوکوشین و اساساً در فلسفه آن پیروزی به هر قیمتی بر حریف مقابل معنایی ندارد.
در سبک قدرتمند بودو کیوکوشین کاراته به دو اسلاید مبارزه کمیته انجام میشود یکی سمی کنتاک و دو فول کنتاک به صورت آزاد اجرا میشود…
در فلسفه بودوکیوکوشین هدف اصلی پرورش جسم و روح برای رسیدن به اخلاق نیک و روحیه ای قوی میباشد و به هیچ عنوان خشونت در سبک بودو کیوکوشین جایگاهی ندارد؛ چرا که اساساً خشونت و بودو کیوکوشین در تقابلند نه در تعامل. بودو کیو کوشین نه تنها خشن نیست بلکه سعی در پرورش روحیه ای قوی، افتادگی، و بزرگ منشی را در هنرجوی مبارز دارد.
